I have been teaching yoga for 20 years in the UK and internationally. I’m a Yoga Alliance Professionals UK Senior Yoga Teacher and KPJ Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) Authorised Level 2 Ashtanga Yoga Teacher.
I started practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 1997 while studying History of Art and Conservation at the University of Siena, Italy. It quickly became part of my daily life and in 1999 I began an apprenticeship with my teacher Francesco Sangalli.
In 2000, I began teaching yoga professionally full-time whilst continuing my personal daily yoga practice and yoga studies with Francesco Sangalli and Lino Miele.
Over the last 16 years I’ve travelled to India for extended yoga practice and training, spending several months each time at KPJAYI to improve my yoga practice and learning directly from K Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois.
2006-2009 in London I taught regular classes at The Life Centre, The Fulham Yoga Shala, The Light Centre and private classes in homes and workplaces. In London I advanced my yoga practice and knowledge under the guidance of Hamish Hendry at Astanga Yoga London.
2009 to 2018 established Ashtanga Yoga Oxford and taught Oxford’s first daily Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga programme, with my wife Bella Rossi. I taught regular yoga classes to students and staff at the University of Oxford, Linacre College, Nuffield College, Balliol College, Merton College and Christ Church College. I also taught yoga privately one-to-one to a variety of individuals and small groups.
Taught daily Mysore Style programmes also at Under the Light, Tokyo (2010), Ashtanga Yoga Dubai (2014 & 2015, The Breathing Space Studio, Tuscany and The European University Institute, Florence, Italy (2018-19) as well as in-depth yoga workshops and yoga retreats including in Abu Dhabi (2014 & 2015), Austria (2014 & 2015) and Italy (annually).
Currently based in the beautiful Cotswolds where I offer yoga classes, yoga teacher mentoring, yoga workshops and yoga retreats.
